Just What is An Entrepreneurs Mindset?

Here is my definition of an entrepreneur” A person who organises and manages any enterprise, especially a business, usually with considerable initiative and risk”.

Who do you think of when someone says “entrepreneur” and what do you think they have that gives them an “entrepreneur's mindset”.

Throughout history and continuing into recent times there are hundreds, if not thousands of people we could look to as entrepreneurs. These people do not necessarily have to be either rich, famous or both.

For me, I look at people like:-

      • Thomas Edison – inventor extraordinaire
      • Richard Branson – believes in turning ideas into reality
      • Mark Zuckerberg – co-founder of Facebook

What stands out amongst for me is all these people have or had an unwavering belief they would succeed, they never failed, just learnt.

Coupled with this entrepreneurs mindset, they took action, and they took steps towards their goals and outcomes. In the end, they succeeded.

Have you tried to start and run an online business? It's easy! Live your dream life buy this and this and thousands a day will be yours, usually in a couple of hours a day at most!

Explore The Entrepreneurs Mindset There is another description of an entrepreneur I am very fond of.” An entrepreneur is a person willing to work 80 hours a week, so they don't have to go to work 40 hours a week”.

I'm sure there are also a lot of people that still do what I did. Work insane hours a week in a job and try and be an “entrepreneur” on the side.

There is a multitude of reasons why people do not succeed in developing their online businesses. I do not claim to know them all. However, I have realised over the years what we can do to shift the odds in our favour.

Listen to Tony Robbins, no doubt one of the best performance coaches in the world. “If you want to be successful, find someone who has achieved the results you want and copy what they do, and you'll achieve the same results.”

There is no need to reinvent the wheel, as great success can be gained ad by leveraging the time, knowledge and systems of others. The entrepreneur's mindset here is to work smarter, not harder.

I spent years learning by trial and error. Lessons that not only cost thousands of dollars but still didn't reward me with the results I desired.

I fell foul of one of the most common thieves of success. DISTRACTION. Distraction is one of those vicious Catch 22 situations that we can all easily fall victim to, and the entrepreneur's mindset takes a pounding.

We can spend hours searching and researching, and we come across something that sounds and looks like the real deal. This Shiny New Object is the missing piece of the puzzle. We buy it and set it up to follow all the instructions, but of course, it falls short of the mark.

We don't have a system. Our time is not allocated to the parts of our business that will produce results. We blame the latest acquisitions as not being the right tools and start looking at something else.

We are on someone's list, probably hundreds of listings. Bing! Another email offer and next thing you know something else we need to have before the price goes up. Scarcity works!!

You could say I had become the best customer avatar around. I needed help, and I needed it now.

Searching around, I eventually found what I needed. A coach and mentor. A real person with an entrepreneurs mindset who understood where I was coming from and willing to help. Dean Holland.

Finding my mentor was the turning point for me. I learnt a whole lot of things I thought I already knew! I now have a plan and strategies to achieve my goals.

Sitting at my computer at home, I'm focussed on and working on my plan. I'm in control of my business and life now, more than at any time in the past.

Previously I made six figures a year, but I was time-poor. I was working 12 – 14 hours a day, on-call 7 days a week and at weekends. I had no life.

There is no price I can put on being able to go for a walk every day with my wife and our dog, enjoy our weekends together and no stress!!

If you would like to see how you can make the entrepreneur's mindset work for you, my friend and mentor Dean has some free training you can access by clicking HERE.
